
Matic Kuder Clarinet
Matic Kuder (born 1994) began his musical journey at an early age under the guidance of his uncle, Peter Kuder. He first studied as a pre-college student at the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet with Prof. Dušan Sodja. He then continued his bachelor’s studies with Prof. Jože Kotar at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana and completed his master’s degree in Graz in the class of Prof. Gerald Pachinger. He also studied with Thomas Holzmann at the Nuremberg University of Music. In addition, he has participated in masterclasses with many renowned clarinettists, including François Benda, Wenzel Fuchs, Mate Bekavac, Harri Mäkki, Paolo Beltramini and Michel Lethiec.
Matic Kuder was a member of the renowned Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and has collaborated with numerous international orchestras and ensembles, including the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, Ensemble Mini, Spira Mirabilis, Orchestra Leonore, the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Slovenian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg.
As a chamber musician, he has performed with many distinguished artists, including Mate Bekavac, Sergio Azzolini and Kirill Gerstein, as well as members of the Vienna Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, among others.
As a soloist, he has appeared with the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, the String Chamber Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, the EU-phony Orchestra and the Slovenian National Theatre in Ljubljana, among others.
He is a prizewinner of several international competitions, including Città di Carlino, EMONA, Anton Eberst and Gheorghe Dima.
From 2017 to 2021, he served as Principal Clarinet of the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra. Since December 2021, he has been E-flat clarinettist with the Berlin Philharmonic.
