YoonJi Han  Violine

Violinist YoonJi Han currently serves as Second Concertmaster of the Neubrandenburger Philharmonie in Germany. Alongside her orchestral career, chamber music plays an important role in her artistic work. She is a member of Trio Domus, Quartet Wanderlust, and Ensemble Ad Musica, and regularly performs in a wide range of chamber music projects.

Previously, she served as Deputy Concertmaster of the LOH-Orchester Sondershausen and has appeared as Guest Concertmaster with the Göttinger Symphonieorchester.

YoonJi Han also has extensive international experience as a soloist. In addition to duo recitals with pianist Stanislav Bogunia, she has been invited to perform a solo recital at the Italian international music festival “Armonie della sera.” As a soloist, she has performed with a number of European orchestras, including the Moravian Philharmonic, Hradec Králové Philharmonic, Sofia Chamber Orchestra, Kharkov Philharmonic, and Münchener Dacapo Orchester.

Her orchestral experience also includes guest performances with the hr-Sinfonieorchester as well as orchestral internships with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern and the Philharmonisches Orchester Freiburg.

YoonJi Han began her musical education at Sunhwa Arts School and Sunhwa Arts High School in Seoul. While still a student, she moved to Germany and continued her studies at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg, where she completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees under the guidance of Nicolas Chumachenco, Muriel Cantoreggi, and Jermolaj Albiker, First Concertmaster of the SWR Symphony Orchestra.

She subsequently completed her Konzertexamen at the Hochschule für Musik Saar with Hans-Peter Hofmann. She received further important artistic guidance from Florin Iliescu, First Concertmaster of the hr-Sinfonieorchester.



Her extensive experience as an orchestral musician, concertmaster, chamber musician, and soloist forms the foundation of her teaching. She is particularly committed to combining technical development with musical independence and to sharing her practical experience from professional orchestral and concert life with the next generation of musicians.
